Your privacy is fundamental to our design. Journal entries and personal reflections stay on your device. We collect as little data as possible and never sell your information.
Who We Are
The 6-Week Career Reset app ("the App") is developed and published by Lisa Prior / Prior Consulting. The App is based on the book Take Charge of Your VIEW (2nd Edition), published by NeXus Impress.

Data That Stays on Your Device
The following data is stored locally on your device and is not transmitted to our servers:
- Journal entries and written reflections
- Assessment results and scores
- Vision statements and personal goals
- Progress data and completion status
- App preferences and settings
If you enable iCloud sync, this data may be stored in your personal iCloud account, which is governed by Apple's privacy policy. We do not have access to your iCloud data.
AI Coaching Feature
When you use the AI Career Coach feature, the text you enter in coaching conversations is sent to our AI service provider (Anthropic's Claude API) to generate personalized responses. This processing is necessary to provide the coaching functionality.
Important details about AI interactions:
- Conversation text is transmitted securely via encrypted connection
- We do not store your AI conversations on our servers
- Anthropic does not use API inputs to train their models
- Relevant excerpts from your journal entries may be included for context (RAG), but only during active coaching sessions
Data We Collect
We collect minimal data necessary to operate the App:
- Purchase information: Handled entirely by Apple. We receive confirmation of purchase status but not your payment details.
- Usage analytics: We may collect anonymous, aggregated usage statistics (such as which features are used most frequently) to improve the App. This data cannot be tied to individual users.
Data We Do Not Collect
- Names, email addresses, or account information (no account required)
- Location data
- Contact information
- Browsing or search history
- Device identifiers for advertising purposes
Third-Party Services
Apple: The App is distributed through the Apple App Store. Apple's privacy practices are governed by their own privacy policy.
Anthropic (Claude API): AI coaching conversations are processed through Anthropic's API. Anthropic's privacy practices are available at anthropic.com/privacy.
Children's Privacy
The App is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
Data Retention
Since your personal data is stored on your device, you have full control over it. Deleting the App removes all locally stored data. AI coaching conversations are not retained after the session ends.
Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access your data (it's on your device)
- Delete your data (by deleting the App or clearing app data)
- Use the App without the AI coaching feature
- Contact us with any privacy concerns
Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected with an updated "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Significant changes will be communicated through the App.
